When hearing the music of North Carolina's Cities, one might think of Interpol, Snowden, or maybe even Radiohead. All this kind of falls into the "eh" genre for me, which is why the band never caught my eye until they released their latest album title Variations. The album features a slew of great electronic artists including Ladytron, Isan, Daedelus and Free The Robots who put their own twist on Cities' songs. A couple of my favorite re-works are both of the track "Writing on the Wall", done by Ladytron and Isan. In past job searches I have never found the standard job search websites (Monster, HotJobs, etc.) to be all that helpfull. Perhaps it's the industry that I am in, but they never seem to have quality search results that have gotten me anywhere. Awhile back I discovered Malakye, a job search website specifically for the action sports industry, and more recently discovered Well Threaded. Well Threaded is designed for those in search of jobs in the fashion and clothing industry. From Designers, to Sales Reps, to Models Well Threaded has jobs for many different positions. Waking up to that super-annoying alarm clock beeping just doesn't seem like the right way to start of your day. I've been looking for alternatives for a long time, even the radio alarm is annoying most the time. I recently got clued-in on an application for the Mac called Awaken. This nifty little app allows you to set the alarm time, and then customize a specific iTunes playlist that will slowly fade-in to the volume you choose. It's been a long time coming, but it's here... Kidrobot Apparel. For years now they have been feeding those with the vinyl addiction. I am personally really digging these limited edition Bubble and Monogram hoodies done by Tilt, only 228 of each were made. They also have a whole poo-load of tees as well. I have always thought it would be cool to have an easy way to transport your iMac. The computer is so light and compact, it seems it wouldn't be too hard. Recently while searching for a way to take my iMac overseas I found the iLugger. This is a bag designed for the 17 and 20 inch iMacs that makes is easy to take your iMac with you. The bag also provides a hard plastic screen protector making it safe too. So if you are a DJ wanting a bigger display than your MacBook is giving you, the iLugger may be your ticket.
